about
Bristol based, always walking the tightrope to balance professional work with personal projects. Never enough hours in the day! Currently working at Martin Parr Foundation; all things communications, exhibitions, events, and assisting Martin on occasion, among other things.
Plymouth educated, it's good to go back, although my peers have all moved on from that city now. Studying with Jem Southam and David Chandler there has been a real highlight. First I completed a BA(Hons) Media Arts followed by an MA Photography.
Long term photo-project is in Cambodia. I used to work there as a teacher on several occasions and go back as often as possible to practice the lingo and keep up with friends, acquaintances, old students, etc…
My first book came out in 2021! It explores photography and dating culture in today’s hyper connected digital society, and it turns out it’s often a bit of an eye opener for the older generation. (NSFW! Don’t read it with your mum! Although my mum quite likes the book!) Joan Fontcuberta, who has long been a photo hero of mine, wrote an essay for it.
Most recently I’ve co-founded Drama Proof Pigeon Club with @BeastlyWorlds. It is an independent submission based illustration zine, aiming to celebrate other’s work in print form. (And away from the dreaded algorithm.)
